Principal Engineer (Camunda BPM)

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience developing and deploying business process automation solutions using Camunda or similar BPM platforms.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience architecting solutions using Camunda BPM platform.
• Strong hands-on experience with Camunda 8 including process modeling and execution.
• Experience designing and implementing processes, services, forms, and decision tables using BPMN, DMN, and CMMN standards.
• Camunda certification (e.g., Camunda Certified Professional – Developer or equivalent).
• Experience implementing DevOps practices including CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and logging for Camunda applications.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel for short-duration client engagements, workshops, and architecture discussions.

 

• Experience with other BPM or automation tools such as Pega, Appian, or RPA platforms like UiPath or Automation Anywhere.
• Strong programming experience in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures.
• Experience working in distributed and cloud-native environments.

 

Responsibilities:

• Analyze business processes and workflows to propose automation solutions using the Camunda 8 BPM platform.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure quality and timely delivery of Camunda-based solutions.
• Define and implement technical architecture and solution design for Camunda applications, including integration with enterprise systems.
• Develop, test, deploy, monitor, and optimize Camunda applications and environments for performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot application and environment issues to ensure high availability and system reliability.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to development teams on Camunda development and best practices.
• Contribute to pre-sales activities including solution design, RFP/RFI responses, effort estimation, and Proof of Concept (PoC) development and demonstrations.
• Develop reusable assets, accelerators, and utilities to improve delivery efficiency across Camunda projects.
• Stay updated on Camunda platform updates and related technologies and promote knowledge sharing within technical teams.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders and customers.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture, security, and quality standards in all automation solutions.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
