Principal Engineer (Camunda BPM Architect)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience: 11+yrs

• 10+ years of experience in designing and developing business process automation solutions using Camunda BPM or similar platforms

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in architecting enterprise-grade solutions on Camunda BPM platform

• Strong hands-on expertise with Camunda 8 and prior experience as a senior developer or architect

• Proven experience in designing and implementing BPMN, DMN, and CMMN-based workflows, services, forms, and decision tables

• Camunda certification (e.g., Camunda Certified Professional Developer) is mandatory

• Strong understanding of architecture principles including microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven design

• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and integration frameworks

• Experience in applying DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, and logging

• Ability to design secure, scalable, and high-performance enterprise applications

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex technical challenges

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences

• Demonstrated technical leadership experience with mentoring and team guidance capabilities

• Willingness to travel for client engagements, workshops, and solution discussions

• Good to have experience with other BPM tools such as Pega, Appian, or RPA platforms like UiPath or Automation Anywhere

• Customer-centric mindset with the ability to align technical solutions to business goals

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze business processes and workflows and propose scalable automation solutions using Camunda 8 BPM platform

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and translate them into robust technical designs

• Define, estimate, and implement end-to-end architecture for Camunda-based applications, ensuring scalability, security, and performance

• Lead architecture discussions and provide technical direction across multiple Camunda implementations

• Design and implement integrations with enterprise systems, APIs, and microservices-based architectures

• Develop, test, deploy, monitor, and optimize Camunda applications to ensure high availability and performance

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across environments and ensure system reliability

• Establish best practices, coding standards, and governance frameworks for Camunda development

• Mentor and guide developers and engineers on Camunda BPM, architecture principles, and development best practices

• Contribute to pre-sales activities including RFP/RFI responses, solutioning, effort estimation, and PoC development/demonstrations

• Drive thought leadership through white papers, blogs, webinars, and technical forums

• Build reusable assets, accelerators, and frameworks to improve delivery efficiency

• Stay updated with emerging trends in BPM, Camunda, and related technologies and drive knowledge sharing across teams

• Engage with clients for workshops, consulting, and architecture discussions, including short-term travel as required.

Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
