Role overview

We are seeking a pragmatic leader who can bridge the gap between advanced analytical research and practical, scalable implementation. As a Principal Data Science Engineer, you will leverage knowledge graphs, statistical models, and large language models to create hybrid inference systems that drive business value. You will be a researcher and a builder in equal measure.

As a Principal Data Science Engineer at Qodea, you’ll:

• Lead the development of advanced recommendation systems and AI-driven reasoning tools.
• Design hybrid inference systems that combine LLM outputs with structured data sources like knowledge graphs.
• Implement data vectorization techniques for both text and graph data.
• Research and apply novel graph-based technologies and algorithms to solve complex problems.
• Architect solutions that are robust, reliable, and capable of scaling to production environments.
• Influence company strategy by anticipating future needs and delivering through ambiguity.

Things that will make you stand out:

• Expert understanding of graph data modelling and analytics using tools like Neo4j.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs for tasks such as text analysis and data mapping.
• Proficient in prompt engineering and guiding LLM behaviour for specific business outcomes.
• Solid experience with distributed computing frameworks for large-scale data transformation.
• A proven track record of expressing well-reasoned perspectives to drive the best technical outcomes.

Nice to have:

• Prior experience in the adtech or fintech industries.
• Masters or PhD in a relevant AI or quantitative field.
