The Role: Principal (Creative & Client Leadership)
We are seeking a Principal to lead senior client relationships, partner closely with creative and strategy leaders, and elevate the quality and impact of our work. This is a senior leadership role for someone who has grown up in a creative agency environment and understands how strong strategy, compelling creative, and disciplined delivery come together to drive results. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, a champion for creative excellence, and a steady leader for integrated teams. You will balance commercial responsibility with a deep commitment to craft, collaboration, and long-term brand building.
This is not a pure operations or finance role. Success in this position requires fluency in creative development, brand storytelling, and integrated campaign work.
What You’ll Do
Lead a portfolio of brand and marketing clients (approximately $20M to $30M) with full accountability for relationship health, work quality, and growth
Act as the primary strategic partner to senior marketing and brand leaders on the client side
Partner closely with Creative, Strategy, and Delivery leaders to shape campaigns, platforms, and long-term brand programs
Champion strong briefs, clear strategic direction, and high creative standards across all work
Guide teams through concept development, presentation, and refinement to ensure work is bold, relevant, and on strategy
Own financial performance for your accounts, including forecasting, budgeting, and margin management, in service of sustainable creative work
Identify organic growth opportunities through strong client partnerships and proactive ideas
Support new business efforts by helping shape compelling narratives, case studies, and pitches
Mentor account, project, and strategy leaders and help develop the next generation of agency talent
Bring calm, clarity, and perspective to complex creative and client challenges

What You Bring
10+ years of leadership experience in a creative, brand, or integrated marketing agency
A demonstrated track record of leading major accounts that produce high-quality creative work
Experience partnering closely with creative and strategy teams throughout the full campaign lifecycle
Strong understanding of brand strategy, creative development, and integrated marketing channels
Comfort reviewing, shaping, and presenting creative work to senior clients
Solid commercial acumen, including P&L ownership and forecasting, within an agency environment
A collaborative leadership style and genuine respect for creative craft
Experience thriving in smaller, fast-moving agencies where leaders are hands-on
Clear, thoughtful communicator who can inspire confidence internally and externally
Strongly Preferred
Experience at a recognized creative, digital, or integrated agency
Direct involvement in major brand campaigns, platform launches, or repositioning efforts
Portfolio or case study experience demonstrating creative impact
