Opportunity
Fadata is a leading software vendor in the insurance industry, delivering one of the most comprehensive Policy Administration System on the market. As we evolve toward a cloud-native, SaaS-based platform, we are looking for a Principal Architect to help define and drive our long-term technical strategy.
This is a senior, high-impact role for an experienced architect who wants to influence product direction, technology choices, and engineering practices at scale.
The role
As Principal Architect, you will operate at a strategic and hands-on level, owning architectural decisions that impact multiple products and teams. You will be a key technical authority, partnering with senior engineering leaders, product management, and executive stakeholders.
This role is suited for professionals who have already worked as Senior Architect, Lead Architect, or Principal Engineer, and are comfortable making decisions with long-term business and technical consequences.
Your responsibilities
Own and evolve the cloud and application architecture roadmap across the organization
Make high-level architectural decisions affecting multiple teams and products
Lead the transition to microservices, event-driven, and SaaS architectures
Set architectural standards, guardrails, and best practices
Review and validate designs for critical systems and integrations
Act as a technical authority and escalation point for complex challenges
Advise senior stakeholders on technology strategy and trade-offs
Support strategic customer engagements and architecture discussions
Mentor and grow senior engineers and architects
What you bring to the table
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience in software engineering and system design
5+ years in senior architecture or technical leadership roles
Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale, distributed systems
Strong expertise in cloud platforms and cloud-native architectures
Solid programming background (Java, JavaScript, and/or PL/SQL preferred)
Deep understanding of architectural patterns, integration patterns, and system trade-offs
Experience working in Agile, cross-functional environments
Strong leadership, influence, and communication skills
Ability to make decisions balancing technical excellence, delivery, and business impact
Availability to travel
Nice to have / preferred
Experience in enterprise or regulated industries (insurance, finance, banking, etc.)
Background in insurance platforms or core systems
Knowledge of AI, Generative AI, and LLM-based architectures
Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise platforms
Hands-on experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers, including:
Designing and implementing MCP servers
Integrating LLMs with enterprise systems via MCP
Addressing security, scalability, and governance concerns
Experience with event streaming, API management, DevOps, and CI/CD
