Position Summary
The Primary Care Physician provides comprehensive outpatient medical care to adult and/or pediatric patients, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions. This role emphasizes continuity of care, patient-centered practice, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive primary care services, including preventive care, wellness visits, and routine physical examinations
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based medicine
• Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests, including laboratory and imaging studies
• Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with clinical guidelines
• Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications
• Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare providers as needed
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation in the electronic health record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and population health efforts
• Adhere to all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program
• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Active, unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain licensure)
• DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
