About the Role

As a member of the Real-Time Pricing Team at Uber Freight, you will be responsible for providing timely spot pricing rates to a variety of Enterprise and Mid-Market customers, with the goal of maximizing the freight win rate on a daily basis by delivering value to shippers. You will work closely with other members of the Real-time & Contract Pricing Teams, Customer Sales, Account Management, Data-science, and Carrier Sales teams.

What the Candidate Will Do

• Create and submit real-time spot market pricing to Mid-Market and Enterprise customers through web portals, API connections, email, and other communication channels.

• Enhance Uber Freight's shipper knowledge by mastering customer networks, understanding price points, identifying opportunities, and providing timely communication.

• Maintain a constant awareness of US freight market conditions and advise other Uber Freight team members on changes, trends, and insights noticed in the Spot Market.

• Develop direct customer relationships, when appropriate, to help grow existing Uber Freight accounts.

• Pursue spot freight opportunities that help Uber Freight achieve its volume and margin OKRs.

• Utilize internal and external pricing tools and databases to inform your spot pricing decisions.

• Take appropriate risks, be creative, go the extra mile for customers, and be tenacious every day.

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in freight pricing or 2+ years in customer or carrier sales (or a related freight field)

• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong stakeholder management abilities

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of SQL is a plus, but not required

• Proficiency in common analytics and reporting tools (Tableau, Google Data Studio, Google Data Studio, Looker)
