We’re seeking a hands-on Preventative Maintenance to join our dynamic team and play a key role in supporting the Property Operating Maintenance function within our organisation.

Role Overview:
Respond promptly and professionally to service requests generated from the departments administrative, supervisory and management team; or in the absence of; other members designated to distribute tasks aligned with ensuring the resorts standards are upheld and to the required schedule. Create an Exceptional Memorable Experience (EME) for each and every guest while interacting on a daily basis.
Main Key Responsibilities:
Perform basic repairs to carpentry & masonry finishes within the guest rooms
Drywall patching, slicking sanding and finishing
Perform routine painting and staining of, ceilings, mouldings, walls, cabinetry, skirtings
Furniture care/refurbishing to maintain the resorts aesthetic standards.
Diagnose and fix mechanical items such as safes, entry locks and other door hardware including servicing, lubricating, battery replacement etc.
Replace bulbs, plug outlets, switches and plates and labels.
Address plumbing items such as descaling shower heads, body jets, faucets, toilet flushing mechanisms, replacing cartridges/washers, angle valves, flex lines, unclogging sink drains etc.
Clean & replace filters on dish washers, washer dryers & fridges etc.
Desired Qualities:
Have a working knowledge and ability to complete competent levels of carpentry, masonry, interior finishes, plumbing, mechanical and electrical tasks.
Be able to receive, assess and carry out instructions without fulltime supervision.
Be able to operate within a fast-paced environment, efficiently.
Be detail oriented, maintaining and ensuring a clean and safe workspace and finished product.
Be cognizant of their work environs as completion of their tasks could impact surrounding occupants.
Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment and to pivot quickly, responding with flexibility to changing priorities and work demands.
Ability to act with discretion, tact, and professionalism in all situations.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
Work with minimal supervision.
Read and understand all instructions, complications and hazards of chemicals used.
Must be in good physical condition.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to walk, stretch, push, and bend.
Must be able to lift more than fifty (50) lbs.
Must be able to work around dust, fumes and chemicals
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Relevant technical or vocational training or certifications in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, or related trades preferred.
Prior experience in maintenance, repairs, or facilities management is highly desirable.
Hospitality experience would be considered an asset.
