We are looking for a Press Shop Process Engineer to develop, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes within automotive press shop operations.
The role will focus on process development, tooling performance, equipment capability, quality improvement, process documentation, and continuous improvement across Laser Blanking Line and Tandem Press Line operations.
The uploaded Process Engineer JD specifies responsibility for process development and optimization, tooling and equipment management, quality problem-solving, Kaizen/SMED/waste elimination, PFMEA, control plans, audits, and shop-floor support. 
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, validate, and optimize press shop processes, including Laser Blanking Line and Tandem Press Lineoperations.
• Manage process parameters, machine settings, and tooling requirements for new and existing parts.
• Support trials, capability studies, process audits, and production readiness activities.
• Monitor die performance and coordinate corrective actions to reduce downtime and improve process stability.
• Support die tryouts, commissioning, troubleshooting, and launch of new or modified tooling.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and preventive maintenance effectiveness.
• Analyze quality issues with tooling, maintenance, quality, and operations teams.
• Apply structured problem-solving tools such as 5 Why, Ishikawa, and PDCA.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer specifications, internal procedures, and audit requirements.
• Identify and implement productivity improvements, scrap reduction initiatives, and cycle time optimization.
• Support continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen, SMED, and waste elimination.
• Develop and update process documentation, work instructions, SOPs, process flows, PFMEA, and control plans.
• Provide technical support during new product launches and engineering changes.
• Work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and tooling teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry.
• Experience in press shop operations, stamping, blanking, new die launch, or tooling support.
• Strong knowledge of QMS, process documentation, process flow, PFMEA, and control plans.
• Experience supporting audits and implementing corrective actions.
• Good knowledge of SAP, MES, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email tools.
• Strong communication, teamwork, listening, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and support shop-floor operations.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime when required.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
