Press Operator - Stamping

Position Title: Press Operator - Stamping

FLSA Status: Non-exempt Level 2

Position Summary: Performs duties required to efficiently operate the stamping press to manufacture quality parts.

Position Responsibilities:

· Performs press operations in accordance with Operation Standards and Work Instructions.

· Detects and reports defective materials to supervisor.

· Conducts press operation safety checks on prescribed intervals.

· May perform minor maintenance and machine adjustments.

· Operates overhead crane to stage steel coils at the press.

· Records production data in the system.

· Performs general clean-up and organization of work area (SCORE- Safety, Cleanliness, Organization, Responsiveness, and Efficiency).

· Other duties as assigned to maintain production.

Qualifications:

· High School diploma.

· Follows all safety requirements of the company – PPE, (hat, glasses, steel-toed boots, uniform, hearing protection, gloves, etc.) safe job behaviors, etc.

· Able to safely and efficiently operate a forklift by passing forklift training class and obtaining license.

· Regularly required to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Able to read and understand operation standards, job instructions and product labels.

· Able to handle multiple tasks and meet production quotas.

· Overhead crane training.

Work Environment:

· Plant environment.

· Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

· Regularly exposed to dust, odors, noise, smoke, etc.
