Press Brake Operator

We are currently seeking a Press Brake Operator to join our growing team. The Press Brake Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining and troubleshooting the machines. Keeping a clean and safe work environment while assisting others when needed and complying with all safety procedures. This position will functionally report to the Sheet Metal Foreman and work primarily in a group fabrication setting.

Responsibilities:

Makes routine adjustments to bend programs up to and including tools at time to assure parts are within tolerance.

Must check parts against print using proper QC measuring equipment.

Load/unload machines and may check basic cross-reference information to assure correct part is being processed.

Assures that basic quality checks are performed at specific intervals on machine parts.

Performs routine maintenance on all machines to ensure optimal performance.

Monitor machine operation to detect any issues or malfunctions.

Must be able to read prints, set up and run various metal fabrication equipment.

Works responsibly and efficiently, adhering to all safety rules and policies.

Perform any other duties as required by Supervisor/Fabrication Manager to realization of departmental and company goals. 

 
Required:

HS diploma or equivalent.

2+ years of manufacturing work experience. 

2+ years of press brake machinery experience.  (preference on Trumpf press brake).

Must be able to read blueprints and technical documents.

Must be able to check and measure parts according to technical document specification.  Use of measurement tools, calipers, micrometers, etc.

Familiar with folding machines.
