NOTE: This position will start out as part-time and move to full-time after a probationary period.
Purpose Statement:
The mission of Elevate Life Preschool is to provide the atmosphere and the experience necessary for children to grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally, socially, and physically so they can become the leaders God destined them to be. The vision of Elevate Life Preschool is to foster a lifelong love of learning in each of our students. We create this environment by providing positive learning experiences through love, respect, quality education and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
Classroom
Lead all functions and processes of the classroom.
Provides direction and oversight for assistant teachers and classroom volunteers.
Demonstrates a passion for teaching children, love for learning, and love for Jesus that fosters a solid, Bible-based foundation
Administrative
Plan additional activities, as necessary.
Order necessary supplies according to an established budget.
Conduct yearly formal parent/teacher conferences.
Asses students for fall and spring assessments and maintain student portfolios.
Training and Personal Development
Attend staff devotional meetings.
Attend staff curriculum meetings.
Attend all pre-service training or any other trainings, as necessary.

Technical & Professional Skills
Familiar with Texas minimum standards for child-care centers and classroom safety requirements.
Comfortable creating lesson plans, assessments, and child development milestones.
Capable of learning and using digital tools for communication and record keeping (ProCare, MS Office, etc.).

Stooping. Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
Kneeling. Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.

Crawling. Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
Walking. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
Fingering. Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Possesses visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
Able to view a computer screen and various types of type for long periods of time.
