Lead Preschool Teacher
(GSRP)
2026-2027 School Year
Required Qualifications:
A valid Michigan teaching certificate and an Early Childhood Education (ZA) or Early Childhood-General and Special Education (ZS) endorsement, Birth-K, or PK-3 endorsement; or A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or child development with a specialization in preschool teaching. The transcript will document a major, rather than a minor, in child development or early childhood education.
Must be familiar with Early Childhood Standards and Benchmarks
CPR certified, preferred
Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting
Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills:
Experience working with early elementary age children in a preschool setting
Experience working with emergent curriculum approaches
Passionate about providing excellent daily care, initiating ideas and activities, and collaborating with a team of educators
Comfortable supporting and engaging parents and families
Skilled in communication, both written and verbal
Must be flexible and willing to help out where needed
Working under direct supervision of Preschool Director
Ability to practice a team approach.
