Assistant Preschool Teacher

Reports To: Preschool Director
Primary Function: Supervise preschool students and support classroom teacher
Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Start Date: Anticipated 02/02/2026
Anticipated Salary: $20.00 - $22.40 (Lead teacher qualified)

Requirements

Educational Level: High School Diploma/equivalent
Certification/License: Early Childhood Teacher Qualification preferred
Experience: Previous experience with children 1+ years
Physical Activities: Able to pick up children weighing between 30-40lbs
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to assist cheerfully

Essential Duties

Prepare materials for daily lessons

Assist with classroom management and strategies

Assist with behavior guidance and redirection

Oversee small groups within classroom

Administrative duties as needed

General supervision of children in the classroom and on the playground

Establish positive rapport with parents

Assist and maintain the organization and cleanliness of the preschool classroom

Anticipated Salary and Benefits

The anticipated starting salary range for this position is $20.00 (not Lead Certified) - $22.40 (Lead Certified), depending on experience and skill level.
