Prep Cook – Bar (Bar Prep / Barback Support)

Koko by Bakan – Coconut Grove, FL

Koko by Bakan is looking for a Prep Cook for the Bar to support our bar team. This position focuses on bar prep work and behind-the-bar support, helping ensure smooth, efficient service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare bar items such as fresh juices, syrups, garnishes, and fruit

Assist with bar setup and breakdown before and after service

Maintain the bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked

Wash and polish glassware

Refill ice, supplies, and bar ingredients as needed

Support bartenders during service when required

Follow all food safety and sanitation standards

Assist with general cleaning and organization of bar storage areas

Requirements

Previous prep cook, barback, or kitchen experience preferred

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Strong attention to cleanliness and organization

Team-oriented attitude and willingness to help where needed

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs

Koko by Bakan busca un/a Cocinero/a de Preparación para el Bar para apoyar a nuestro equipo de barra. Este puesto se enfoca en la preparación de insumos del bar y en brindar apoyo detrás de la barra, asegurando un servicio ágil y organizado en un entorno dinámico.

Responsabilidades

Preparar insumos del bar como jugos frescos, siropes, guarniciones y fruta

Apoyar en el montaje y desmontaje de la barra antes y después del servicio

Mantener el área de la barra limpia, ordenada y bien abastecida

Lavar y pulir cristalería

Reponer hielo, suministros e ingredientes del bar

Apoyar a los bartenders durante el servicio cuando sea necesario

Cumplir con las normas de higiene y seguridad alimentaria

Ayudar con la limpieza y organización de áreas de almacenamiento del bar

Requisitos

Experiencia previa como prep cook, barback o en cocina (preferible)

Capacidad para trabajar en un ambiente de ritmo rápido

Disponibilidad para trabajar noches, fines de semana y días festivos

Atención al detalle, limpieza y organización

Actitud de trabajo en equipo y disposición para apoyar

Capacidad para permanecer de pie por períodos prolongados y levantar hasta 30 lbs
