JOB SUMMARY
The Preconstruction Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Estimating and Preconstruction teams by organizing bid processes, maintaining project documentation, and serving as a liaison between internal teams, clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors. This position is essential to delivering accurate, timely, and well-coordinated preconstruction efforts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-driven, and team-oriented, with strong communication and technical abilities. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
Three years of experience in construction, estimating, or project coordination preferred
Working knowledge of construction documents, drawings, and specifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction-related software
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently or collaboratively
Professional demeanor with a client-focused mindset
Ability to successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate bid invitations, subcontractor outreach, and proposal tracking
Solicit, track, and follow up on subcontractor bid proposals in collaboration with the Preconstruction Team
Support estimators by preparing bid forms, compiling subcontractor information, and maintaining bid documentation
Maintain and update subcontractor prequalification records and databases
Assist with the distribution of plans and specifications, scheduling meetings, and organizing documentation
Create and maintain accurate, well-organized filing systems for preconstruction and project records
Assist with project start-up packages and the transition of preconstruction documents to operations teams
Prepare reports, spreadsheets, bid tabulations, and comparison matrices for proposal evaluation
Provide administrative and coordination support for meetings, proposals, and deliverables
Maintain strict confidentiality of company, employee, and financial information
Perform additional duties as assigned.
