As a Pre-Sales Lead at Jobstreet by SEEK, you'll be part of a fast-paced and supportive environment where you can make a real difference. You'll work on complex challenges that have a direct impact on people's lives, helping us evolve our business and reach new heights.
You will spearhead the transformation of our Leads Generation function into a strategic Presales team that drives revenue growth. You will lead a team of presales specialists who engage with hirers showing intent signals on our platform, conducting consultative discovery to qualify opportunities before handing off to our Acquisition team. Your mission will be to build qualification frameworks, discovery processes, and team capabilities that transform lead quality and conversion rates; positioning SEEK to achieve ambitious revenue targets. This is a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up while leading an existing team through meaningful change.
Key Responsibilities
• Team Leadership and Transformation: Lead, coach, and develop a presales team, transforming their skillset from transactional leads generation to consultative discovery and qualification. Build a culture of curiosity and customer-centricity where team members genuinely understand hirer challenges before pitching solutions.
• Strategic Qualification and Discovery: Establish and refine qualification frameworks that identify high-value opportunities based on hiring volume, urgency, budget authority, and platform fit. Design discovery processes that uncover hirer pain points, recruitment challenges, and decision-making timelines in brief 5-10 minute interactions.
• Process Design and Optimization: Build structured, repeatable handoff processes with the Acquisition team including clear qualification criteria, standardized opportunity documentation, and feedback mechanisms. Establish service level agreements and create workflow automation that provides visibility into opportunity progression.
• Performance Management and Analytics: Own presales funnel metrics including signal volume, contact rates, qualification rates, handoff volume, Acquisition acceptance rates, and conversion impact. Establish dashboards that provide real-time visibility into team and individual performance and conduct regular pipeline reviews to identify improvements.
• Enablement and Playbook Development: Develop comprehensive playbooks for common hirer scenarios, industry verticals, and company sizes. Build objection handling guides and create training programs covering discovery techniques, active listening, qualification questioning, and consultative engagement.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Build strong collaborative relationships with the Acquisition team through weekly pipeline reviews and feedback sessions. Partner with Marketing to improve signal quality and collaborate with Product and Operations on optimizations.
• Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years leading presales, sales development, inside sales, or lead qualification teams in B2B SaaS, marketplace, or technology environments.
• Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success transforming team performance through process improvement, enablement, and coaching with measurable improvements in conversion rates.
• Discovery and Qualification Expertise: Strong consultative selling skills with ability to quickly build rapport, ask probing questions, and uncover underlying business needs in brief interactions.
• Data-Driven Approach: Comfort using data to diagnose problems, test hypotheses, and measure impact. Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and sales engagement tools.
• Change Management: Capability to guide teams through role transformation while maintaining morale and performance. Patient coaching ability to develop others' skills through observation and feedback.
• Communication and Influence: Exceptional ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and present to leadership. Collaborative and relationship-focused rather than territorial.
• Adaptability: Comfortable with ambiguity and building frameworks from scratch. Strategic thinker who can balance long-term vision with short-term execution.
Benefits
• Hybrid work setup.
• Enjoy working from anywhere for 4 weeks as part of our benefits.
• Vacation Leaves and Sick Leaves are made available on Day 1.
• Free HMO for three (3) qualified dependents.
• Monthly internet allowance + one-time WFH Setup Allowance for New Hires to make sure you are duly equipped to work-from-home.
