Salary range: Rs 500000 - Rs 700000 (ie INR 5-7 LPA)

We are seeking a technically strong Pre-Sales Engineer to bridge advanced technology solutions with client business objectives across India, the USA, and Mauritius. This role involves leading solution discovery, designing tailored architectures, delivering compelling demonstrations, and managing the complete pre-sales lifecycle from opportunity qualification to deal closure.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with commercial acumen, enabling the creation of scalable solution frameworks, impactful proposals, and strategic customer engagements that drive revenue growth and long-term partnerships.


Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Technical Consulting

• Conduct detailed discovery sessions to understand client challenges and translate business requirements into scalable, integrated solution architectures.
• Design and document customized technology solutions incorporating software, hardware, and service components.
• Evaluate new features and products to determine optimal solution fitment.
• Provide consultative guidance on integration strategies, value propositions, and ROI alignment.

Demonstrations & Proof of Concepts

• Deliver customized product demonstrations (remote and onsite) highlighting business value and technical capabilities.
• Lead Proof-of-Concept (PoC) initiatives, providing technical oversight, troubleshooting, and iterative enhancements to validate solution effectiveness.

Proposal Development & Commercial Structuring

• Prepare comprehensive commercial proposals, including pricing models, capacity planning, and bid documentation.
• Develop solution decks, RFP/RFI responses, and technical documentation showcasing differentiators and competitive advantages.
• Own effort estimation, solution sizing, and technical risk assessments.

Client Engagement & Negotiations

• Lead negotiations for complex deals, addressing objections and refining commercial terms to secure closures.
• Profile prospects, nurture leads, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Manage expectations and ensure alignment across decision-makers throughout the sales cycle.

Thought Leadership & Content Development

• Author white papers, technical articles, and blog posts highlighting industry insights and solution innovations.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align messaging with market intelligence and strategic positioning.

Market Intelligence & Innovation

• Monitor industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies.
• Provide insights to leadership for product roadmap improvements and strategic planning.

Sales Operations & Collaboration

• Maintain accurate CRM records for leads, opportunities, and performance tracking.
• Generate reports aligned with KPIs and revenue targets.
• Coordinate seamless handovers to delivery teams post-deal closure.
• Train sales teams on technical aspects to strengthen value communication.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and delivery teams to ensure scalable and market-ready solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Master’s degree or relevant certifications (AWS, Microsoft, or industry-specific) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pre-sales engineering, solution consulting, or technical sales within the technology sector.

Technical & Functional Skills

• Strong understanding of software architectures, cloud platforms, integration frameworks, and enterprise technology ecosystems.
• Experience designing solution schemas and evaluating new product capabilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for proposal and presentation development.
• Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce or Zoho for pipeline management and analytics.
• Advanced documentation and presentation skills, including technical writing and solution design artifacts.
