OctaiPipe is developing the Advisor for Cooling Efficiency (ACE), an AI-powered performance agent deployed on our revolutionary platform to deliver significant improvements in data centre efficiency.

We are a young, ambitious company with a vision to bring intelligence across the full spectrum of the IoT ecosystem. Following a recent successful funding round, we are growing rapidly and entering an exciting phase of acceleration as we apply our technology to one of the most critical challenges in modern infrastructure: energy-efficient data centre cooling.

What We Solve

One of the greatest energy challenges in data centres is cooling, which can account for over 30% of a facility’s total energy usage. OctaiPipe’s ACE performance agent combines AI-driven optimisation with natural language recommendations to reduce data centre cooling energy consumption by up to 30%, helping operators significantly improve sustainability and operational efficiency.

By cutting cooling energy usage by at least 30%, our solution reduces overall data centre energy consumption by at least 10%. If deployed across all data centres in the UK or the US today, this level of efficiency could release enough capacity to effectively double global data centre capability - without constructing a single new facility.

What We’re Looking For

Sales engineer/solution architect experience in an enterprise SaaS environment or relevant industry experience (AI, Data Centre systems/design, BMS/DCIM) 

Good understanding of data centre eco systems (plan, build, operate) and infrastructure (cooling, power, monitoring) 

Strong communication and storytelling skills in translating complex technology into business value and ROI 

Ability to scope, validate, and deploy edge solutions on client infrastructure for prospects and customers. 

Self starter and ability to keep up with a rapidly growing evolving product in a scale up environment 

What You’ll Do 

Collaborate closely with the sales team to qualify customer opportunities, develop and deliver compelling sales presentations, demonstrations and proposals.  

Present OctaiPipe’s technology and vision at an enterprise level to executives and operations contributors at prospects and customers. 

Run discovery workshops which include understanding the customer business model, operational pains, monitoring systems, building infrastructure, and technical stack.  

Work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate, communicate and deliver the value of OctaiPipe technology throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation. 

Use OctaiPipe’s internal Python tooling to train and calibrate ML models during customer deployments.

Monitor deployed model behaviour and collaborate with R&D to diagnose issues and improve performance.

Create and develop champions in your accounts to drive deals and achieve a technical win. 

Be the expert on OctaiPipe’s cooling optimisation and AI technology. 

Immerse and enable yourself in the ever-evolving industry, maintaining a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors and how to position OctaiPipe in relation to them. 

Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve OctaiPipe’s products and marketing. 

Travel to meet with prospects and customers as well as represent OctaiPipe at industry or partner events. 

Work with our partners to collaborate on opportunities, account strategies and initiatives to help our partners and customers to be successful. 

 

Required experience

Bachelors degree in data science, building science, engineering or related field 

3+ years experience in a pre sales or technical sales role for cooling energy solutions, DCIM, BMS, Data Centre infrastructure and/or design. 

Comfortable working in Python notebooks and scripts to run training and evaluation pipelines.

Knowledge and understanding of RL AI, Edge AI and machine learning solutions 

Knowledge of energy models for buildings as well as data centre standards (ASHRAE etc) 

Strong presentation and customer facing interaction skills 

Experience with the following technologies:
