Pre Sales Engineer

Flō Networks is a leading provider of telecommunications services between the US and Mexico. We provide voice and data services to Fortune 1000 companies, telecommunications, and cable companies over a fiber optic network that spans over 35,000 miles between both countries.

We have an immediate need for an experienced Pre Sales Engineer This position can be based in  Mexico City. 

The Role:

The Pre Sales Engineer is responsible for the pre-sales technical engagement with the customer, supporting the sales team in increasing revenue. We are looking for a candidate with sharp business acumen who can move beyond feature-selling to solution-mapping. You should be able to dissect a prospect’s financial and operational challenges, identifying the 'why' behind their needs, and articulating a compelling case using simple business language while reinforcing our value proposition.

The Responsibilities:

Supports the sales team acting as a consultant in order to understand the technical and business challenges of our  customers and prospects.

Supports the sales teams with proposal generation including pricing, network design, and technical documentation necessary during the pre-sales and post sales activities.

Acts as a subject matter technology expert specializing in the services we provide.

Develops collaborative relationships via daily interaction with all functional teams at all levels.

Participate in internal process improvements. 

Stays current with technology as it pertains to the industry.

Other duties may be assigned.

The Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering or related field.

+5 years’ experience in a sales engineering role.

Strong understanding and experience of voice/data/internet communications technology and network design. 

The candidate should understand IP Routing and Switching, MPLS, VPN, SD-WAN, SIP / TDM Voice services, In-Transit Security, and Cloud Connectivity Solutions.

The candidate should be familiar with Data Center infrastructure, virtualized environments and Managed Services. 

Comprehensive knowledge of networking and integration - on premise and cloud-based.

Strong analytical skills. Must be able to work through complex issues with a methodical approach. Solid ability to depict solutions graphically.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Must be detail oriented.

The candidate should have a strong business acumen to be able to identify business needs and match with our value propositions

Bilingual - Fluent in English and Spanish.
