Job Title: Clinical Psychologist – Eating Disorders
Banding: Band 8a equivalent
Location: The Lilac Tree Clinic, Sheffield
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Salary: £53,000 – £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Join a pioneering, newly established Eating Disorders Day Treatment Unit, where your expertise will directly impact the lives of adults on their recovery journey. This is a unique opportunity to work in a specialist, independent clinic offering evidence-based interventions in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. Located in the heart of Sheffield, the clinic operates in partnership with local healthcare providers and is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care.
Responsibilities
As a Practitioner Psychologist, you’ll be at the heart of patient care, delivering psychological assessments and therapies tailored to individuals with eating disorders. Your role will include:
• Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments
• Delivering CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based therapies
• Collaborating with psychiatrists, dietitians, nurses, and therapists
• Engaging patients and families with clear, compassionate communication
• Contributing to clinical governance and quality improvement
• Supporting staff training and mentoring junior clinicians
• Participating in research and integrating findings into practice

Qualifications and Experience
We welcome applications from candidates who meet most of the following criteria:
• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy or equivalent)
• HCPC registration
• Experience in the psychological treatment of eating disorders
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
Desirable but not essential:
• Additional training in CBT, DBT, or eating disorder-specific therapies
• Experience in day treatment or inpatient settings
• Research experience or publications
