Who You Are

You are a senior PR operator who knows how to generate natural media interest.

You are not dependent on paid PR, advertorials, or sponsorships. You know how to craft angles journalists care about, pitch effectively, follow up professionally, and secure placements through relevance, timing, and relationships.

You are organised, proactive, confident communicating with senior executives, and comfortable owning PR outcomes end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Secure earned media placements across TV, radio, print, digital publications, and industry media (non-paid only).
• Pitch Shae Group leaders, products, services, and insights into relevant media narratives and timely news cycles.
• Identify and secure tier-1 podcast interviews (1M+ reach) for approved Shae Group spokespeople.
• Research and pitch keynote and conference speaking opportunities globally.
• Write media pitches, podcast pitches, speaker abstracts, bios, and briefing notes.
• Identify and manage non-paid influencer partnerships through value exchange.
• Track outreach, placements, reach, and report results clearly and consistently.

Requirements:
Must-have Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in PR, Communications, or Earned Media roles.
• Proven track record of securing earned media placements (examples required).
• Experience pitching podcasts and/or speakers successfully.
• Strong written English and professional communication skills.
• Highly organised, reliable, and outcomes-focused.

Nice-to-have

• Experience in health, wellbeing, AI, education, or performance industries.
• Existing journalist, podcast, or event organiser relationships.
• Comfortable using AI tools to support research, outreach, and workflows.

Benefits:
Compensation & Performance Incentives

Base Fee: USD $1,000–$1,500 per month.

Performance incentives: up to $500/month incentives paid for verified earned media placements, tier-1 podcast bookings, and keynote speaking wins, tied to agreed KPIs.

Payment & Contractor Terms

Independent Contractor (VA only).
Paid monthly in USD via Wise or bank direct deposit.
Invoicing monthly.
No employee benefits.
