PR & Communications Manager (m/f/d)

The Role:
We're looking for a motivated PR & Communications Manager (m/f/d) to own, drive, and execute our public relations program. 

In your day-to-day work, your mission will be to generate high-quality earned media, build strong relationships with journalists and public stakeholders, and shape a consistent narrative that supports ARX’s growth journey across Europe and beyond. 

To join our team, you should be excited to:• Build and run the end-to-end PR engine: strategy, planning, execution, and measurement 
• Develop a clear narrative and messaging framework aligned with leadership and product teams 
• Secure high-quality earned coverage in tier-1, trade, and regional outlets; expand ARX’s share of voice 
• Cultivate and manage a strong network of journalists, editors, analysts, and public stakeholders 
• Own the newsroom calendar: press releases, media pitches, op-eds, bylines, Q&As, and thought-leadership 
• Prepare spokespeople: briefing docs, media training, talking points, and interview prep Manage announcements, product launches, partnerships, speaking opportunities, awards, and events
• Monitor media, issues, and competitive trends; surface insights and recommendations
• Lead issues and crisis communications with clear protocols and fast response 
• Partner closely with Marketing and Business Development to amplify PR impact across channels 
• Track KPIs (coverage quality, message pull-through, sentiment, domain authority, referral traffic) and report results

Your Profile:
• 5+ years of hands-on PR experience with a strong track record in earned media (agency or in-house)
• Demonstrated success pitching and landing coverage with tier-1 and industry media
• Existing, active media network you can bring to the role, ideally in tech, deep tech, defense, or policy
• Excellent storytelling and editorial skills; able to craft compelling pitches, op-eds, and exec narratives
• Confident spokesperson preparation and C-level stakeholder management
• Experience running announcements end to end, including embargoes, exclusives, and coordinated launches
• Strong judgment in issues and crisis communications and comfort operating in high-stakes contexts
• Data-aware approach to PR with clear KPI setting and performance reporting
• Excellent communication skills with business fluency in both German and English (written and spoken)
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a bias to action and ownership

Nice to have skills: 
• Background or strong exposure to defense, security, dual-use tech, or government affairs 
• Existing network with media partners and journalists in Germany and beyond 
• Experience with analyst relations, policy comms, or investor/financial communications 
• Familiarity with modern PR and monitoring tools (e.g., Muck Rack, Meltwater, Talkwalker, Semrush)
