River Valley Powersport in Rochester is hiring a Full-Time Powersports Lot Technician / Detailer to support daily dealership operations in a fast-paced powersports environment.
This position combines lot operations, inventory management, equipment handling, vehicle detailing, and dealership presentation. We are looking for someone who takes pride in keeping powersports inventory clean, organized, customer-ready, and professionally displayed.
You’ll work daily with motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, snowmobiles, trailers, and other powersports equipment while supporting the sales and service teams. This is an active, hands-on role with opportunity for long-term career growth based on the candidate’s interests and strengths.

Job Responsibilities
Maintain clean, organized, and professional dealership lots and showroom areas
Move, park, stage, and organize motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, side-by-sides, snowmobiles, trailers, and powersports inventory
Assist with inventory management and lot organization to ensure units are accessible and properly displayed
Wash, wax, buff, clean, and detail powersports equipment to showroom-ready condition
Prepare new and used inventory for customer pickup and delivery
Operate pressure washers, buffers, vacuums, cleaning tools, and detailing equipment
Safely operate dealership equipment including forklifts, trucks, tractors, and trailers (training provided if needed)
Load, unload, secure, trailer, and transport powersports equipment throughout dealership property
Maintain overall dealership appearance and presentation standards
Support sales and service departments with equipment staging and operational needs
Assist with dealership setup, deliveries, inventory movement, and special projects as needed
Work closely with dealership leadership and team members in a fast-paced environment
Schedule
Full-time position
Monday–Friday: 40–45 hours per week
Saturdays as needed during peak business periods
Year-round employment with long-term opportunity
Compensation
Up to $25 per hour depending on experience and qualifications

Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to safely move and manage powersports equipment
Interest in powersports, motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, automotive, or dealership operations
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Ability to perform physical work including walking, lifting, cleaning, and moving equipment throughout the day
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with powersports vehicles, motorcycles, ATVs, or UTVs
Experience with vehicle detailing, buffing, washing, or reconditioning
Experience operating forklifts, trailers, tractors, or equipment
Previous dealership, automotive, marine, or powersports experience
Training is provided for motivated candidates willing to learn.
