PowerBI Consultant - Canada

We are seeking a highly experienced Power BI Consultant / Architect with strong expertise in enterprise BI architecture, semantic modeling, and governance strategy. This role will drive initiatives to showcase Copilot’s natural language query capabilities while advising clients on scalable Power BI adoption within large organizations.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong client engagement and strategic advisory skills, with hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Advisory

• Advise clients on enterprise-wide Power BI architecture and governance frameworks
• Define best practices for workspace structure, security, dataset management, and deployment pipelines
• Design scalable BI operating models for large organizations
• Drive initiatives demonstrating Copilot’s natural language query capabilities within Power BI environments
• Identify use cases that highlight business value through AI-powered analytics

Technical & Architecture

• Architect and design enterprise semantic layers and reusable datasets
• Implement best practices for data modeling, performance optimization, and DAX design
• Leverage Microsoft Fabric capabilities to enable modern data and analytics solutions
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise data strategy and governance standards

Client Engagement

• Lead stakeholder discussions and workshops
• Translate business requirements into scalable BI solutions
• Provide executive-level recommendations and technical roadmaps
• Act as a trusted advisor for BI transformation initiatives

Requirements:
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Power BI
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Strong expertise in enterprise semantic layer design and data modeling
• Experience implementing governance frameworks in large organizations
• Strong understanding of Copilot capabilities within the Microsoft ecosystem
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to operate in both advisory and hands-on technical roles

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading BI transformation initiatives
• Background in enterprise-scale analytics architecture
• Familiarity with AI-driven analytics and natural language query enablement
