Position Summary:
The Power Platform & Integration Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise business solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate, with strong expertise in API integrations and enterprise integration frameworks. This role ensures reliable data exchange between ERP/CRM platforms and third-party applications through secure, scalable, and well-governed integrations. The specialist will provide production support, drive enhancements, support UAT and deployments, and implement automation improvements that deliver operational efficiency and improved business outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and enhance solutions using Power Apps (Canvas / Model-driven) to support business workflows and operational processes.
· Create and optimize automation using Power Automate (approvals, scheduled flows, notifications, exception handling).
· Develop, support, and troubleshoot API-based integrations (REST/SOAP) using connectors, webhooks, and HTTP actions
· Work with integration platforms/iPaaS tools such as Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, Azure Logic Apps, Informatica, or other enterprise middleware solutions.
· Monitor integration workflows and resolve issues related to:
o authentication & authorization (OAuth2, tokens, API keys)
o API response failures/timeouts
o workflow errors and data mismatches
o scheduling failures and notification gaps
· Provide production support for business applications such as onboarding tools, logistics/shipment tracking systems, credit-related integrations, shipping/vessel integrations, and periodic CRM/ERP data uploads.
· Perform UAT support, including test validations, deployment readiness, and post go-live monitoring to ensure smooth releases.
· Maintain strong documentation and operational readiness, including:
o integration, mapping, and interface details
o workflow designs and business rules
o error handling and escalation procedures
o operational runbooks and support guides
· Support data preparation and large file uploads using Excel; ensure accuracy, standardization, reconciliation, and audit compliance.
Critical Skills:
· Strong expertise in Power Apps (Canvas Apps, Model-driven apps), Dataverse fundamentals, connectors, and role-based access concepts.
· Strong expertise in Power Automate (Cloud Flows, Approvals, HTTP actions, triggers/actions, error handling & retries).
· Solid knowledge of API integrations: REST/SOAP, JSON/XML, data parsing, and API testing tools such as Postman.
· Strong SQL skills with the ability to write and maintain moderate to complex Stored Procedures used in integration logic.
· Strong understanding of integration frameworks:
o mapping and transformations
o orchestration and sequencing
o retries, alerts, logging, monitoring
o data validation and reconciliation
· Experience with enterprise integration/iPaaS tools such as: Dell Boomi / MuleSoft / Azure Logic Apps / equivalent platforms
Additional Skills:
· Strong leadership ability with proven capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including root cause analysis and prevention improvements.
· Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with business stakeholders and technical teams.
· Experience in production support, incident handling, defect triage, and release coordination.
· Ability to work independently with an ownership mindset and deliver enhancements aligned to business priorities.
Assets:
· Experience with ERP/CRM platforms (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, JD Edwards, Salesforce, etc.).
· Knowledge of Power BI / Power Query, data modeling, and reporting automation.
· Experience in project delivery, training, change management, and process improvement initiatives.
Minimum Requirement:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred (Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience).
· 5 to 8 years of total experience, including hands-on work in Power Platform development and/or enterprise integrations.
· Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and capability to handle high-priority production support requests.
