Position Summary

The Powder Coater is responsible for unloading containers of material. This position is best suited to very versatile people that know their way around equipment and most hand tools, can read metric and imperial tape measures, are self-starters with a can-do attitude. Must be physically fit, as the job requires many different areas to work in, and some require moving material.

Full-time position, day shift (Monday to Friday 6:30am-3:00pm) with overtime available.

Key Competencies

Attention to detail and good hand eye coordination is key.
Physically fit; able to handle weights up to 23 kgs (50lbs), standing for extended periods.
Fluent in English (verbal and written)
Document use and numeracy.
Strong team working skills.
Reliable and honest.

Responsibilities

Sanding, stripping, or otherwise prepping material for coating
Washing
Grinding
Manual powder coating
Unloading containers of material
Inspecting material after coating for quality assurance
Cleaning of gun and booth between shifts

Requirements

Proficient in powder coating
Including both aluminum and steel products
Ability to lift 50lb
