Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Powder Coat Paint Line Technician to join our production team. This role is responsible for loading, pretreatment, coating, and unloading parts on the paint line while maintaining high-quality standards in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with manufacturing experience, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
Key Responsibilities:
Load and unload parts onto a moving conveyor using proper hooks and orientation to ensure full coverage and line efficiency.
Visually inspect parts prior to coating to ensure surfaces are dry and clean.
Apply powder coating using spray guns according to paint codes and operator instructions.
Maintain consistent communication with other painters and unloaders for quality control.
Record powder usage and job data (paint code, job number, pounds used, etc.).
Perform visual and mechanical inspections of coated parts to ensure quality standards are met.
Clean and maintain powder booth during color changes (scraping, sweeping, etc.).
Perform minor maintenance on powder coat equipment (clear clogs, replace adapters, etc.).
Operate basic material handling equipment such as hoists and pallet jacks.
Assemble, package, and prepare completed parts for shipment.
Maintain clean and safe work area in accordance with the Kane Innovations Safety Program.
Assist with loading/unloading raw materials and performing preventive maintenance tasks.
Requirements:
Ability to accurately read a tape measure – required.
Good eye/hand coordination and finger dexterity.
Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
Strong work ethic and teamwork skills.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Powder coating or paint line experience a plus.
Comfortable wearing required PPE.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, and reaching above shoulders.
Repetitive hand use including grasping, pushing, and pulling.
