Position Title: Pouring Operator
Division: Casting Shop

Salary: SAR 2,500 – 3,500 + FAT
Job Summary
The Pouring Operator is responsible for the safe and accurate pouring of molten metal into prepared sand molds using Slide Gate Ladle or Lip Pouring Ladle systems. The role requires strict control of metal temperature and pouring flow to ensure defect-free castings while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality within a casting shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
Molten Metal Pouring Operations
• Perform molten metal pouring using Slide Gate Ladle / Lip Pouring Ladle systems• Ensure correct ladle positioning and smooth, controlled metal flow• Monitor and maintain proper metal temperature during pouring operations• Adjust pouring speed and sequence to prevent turbulence, cold shuts, or misruns
Quality Control & Process Accuracy
• Ensure complete and uniform mold filling as per casting specifications• Identify pouring-related defects such as misruns, inclusions, or cold shuts• Report abnormalities or defects to supervisors and quality teams immediately• Follow approved pouring procedures and process parameters
Safety & Compliance
• Strictly adhere to HSE rules and molten metal handling procedures• Use appropriate PPE including heat-resistant clothing, face shields, gloves, and safety shoes• Maintain safe distances and controlled movement during pouring operations• Prevent spillage, splashing, and exposure to molten metal hazards
Coordination & Teamwork
• Coordinate with furnace operators to ensure correct metal chemistry and temperature• Work closely with molding and shakeout teams for smooth casting operations• Follow production schedules and supervisor instructions
Housekeeping & Discipline
• Maintain cleanliness in the pouring area to avoid contamination or accidents• Ensure ladles, tools, and pouring equipment are kept in safe working condition• Follow shop-floor discipline and operational procedures
