The Student Pool Attendant will be responsible for the cleanliness of the pool deck area and for ensuring the safety of patrons utilizing the pool. Duties also include checking and cleaning change rooms, administering first aid, assisting with emergencies, and responding to customer inquiries. You must be able to deal courteously with the public, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and work both independently and as part of a team.
Pool Attendant Qualifications & Duties:
Must be attending high school full time
Must be at least 14/15 years of age
Must possess current LSS Bronze Medallion Award
Current Emergency First Aid Certificate (Red Cross, LSS, or St. John Ambulance) or willing to obtain
Must be willing to obtain the following certifications and maintain in good standing:
Bronze Cross/Standard First Aid
NL Certification
LSS Swim for Life Instructor Certificate
Control water slide activity
Assist with LSS Swim for Life swimming lessons
Other duties as assigned
Hours of Work: Weekends, evenings, and early morning shifts on weekends. Maximum of 20 hours per week. Flexible scheduling for students. This position is not a summer position. It is part-time and permanent, year-round.
Salary: $16.60/hr
