Required Skills
Job Description
The European Union's healthcare systems strive to provide high-quality and cost-effective care. This is particularly challenging for rare or low-prevalence complex diseases, which affect the daily lives of approximately 30 million EU citizens. To address this challenge, the European Commission launched in 2017 the European Reference Networks for rare diseases (ERN) initiative.
ERNs are networks of specialised healthcare providers across Europe designed to facilitate the cross-border exchange of knowledge and expertise. Currently, 24 networks operate across various specialized areas of rare diseases. This policy initiative is led by Unit B3 of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (SANTE).
You will be part of the Support Services team that supports Unit B3 and will contribute to the ERN project by providing application support services.
