Your mission:
We are looking for highly qualified, motivated and independent candidates to join our Brussels team on a full-time basis to take ownership of client mandates and policy work streams on EU energy, climate, digital and environmental policy and institutional affairs. Successful candidates will consult clients on policy and regulatory matters, conduct policy analysis and strategic advice on active EU legislative files, engage with EU institutions and Brussels stakeholders on behalf of clients, and contribute to project development and implementation for clients and BBH. Conceptualising events, communication, outreach and media work complement the portfolio.
This includes:
• Support clients, including European federations and assciations, in their strategic and regulatory approach to existing and pending EU policies and legislation
• Develop policy analysis, legislative assessments and client briefings on active EU energy, climate, digital and environmental files, monitoring legislative processes and Member State implementation across key files
• Lead and contribute to client advocacy at EU and national levels, translating analytical work into strategic positioning and institutional engagement
• Support clients in the positioning and applications to EU funding programmes
• Draft and contribute to publications such as response to public consultations, press releases, reports and studies
• Represent clients at official events (e.g. EP committee meetings, Commission conferences, hearings and workshops)
• Prepare and facilitate client meetings in online and in-person formats, including presentations, meeting minutes, etc.
• Manage and implement EU-funded projects, with emphasis on activities that include policy advice, communication, dissemination
• Identify EU and national funding opportunities, contribute to tenders and project proposals and other business development activities
• Contribute to communication activities and campaigns, especially via social media channels such as LinkedIn and X
Your profile:
• EU national or work permit holder
• A Master's degree in a relevant discipline
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in a relevant position
• Experience with European energy, climate, industrial, environmental, digital and/or related policies, working with funding programmes, project development and tender procedures and/or other areas relevant for the position
• Good understanding of EU policy-making processes and EU energy policies
• An established network across EU institutions and the Brussels energy and climate community is an asset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; good communication skills in German is an asset
• Strong research abilities, analytical skills and writing skills, including the ability to summarise issues quickly and accurately
• Knowledge and experience in communications and social media campaigns and management of social media tools (LinkedIn, X, website, etc.)
• Ability to work both independently and in a team,
