The Florence Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer, whether you're a new recruit or you're already a certified peace officer. Starting pay is $34.42/hour, which is equivalent to an annual salary of approximately $71,590.  Upon successful completion of the police academy, an additional $4,562 per year will be added to the employee’s salary in accordance with KLEFPF eligibility.

To potentially qualify for lateral pay, as a lateral police officer, you must have a minimum of two years of full-time employment with a state, county, or municipal police, sheriff's department, or similar agency, such as an airport, university, etc.
