We are seeking a PMO Lead - (Onsite).

Job Title: PMO Lead – Onsite
Experience: 8+ Years
Job Type: Contract (12 Months)
Work Location: Kuala Lumpur
Mode of Work: Onsite (Work from Office)

Role Overview

The PMO Lead will spearhead strategic transformation and technology initiatives throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery that aligns with business objectives, governance standards, and regulatory requirements. This role demands strong leadership in managing enterprise technology programs within the Insurance domain, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational transformation goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full project lifecycle including planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, change management, and project closure.

• Define project scope, milestones, deliverables, budget, dependencies, and business benefits.

• Lead stakeholder engagement and communication, including reporting to senior leadership and Steering Committees.

• Ensure projects adhere to PMO governance frameworks and comply with Bank Negara Malaysia Risk Management in Technology (RMiT) guidelines.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams to align business and technology stakeholders.

• Track project progress, manage risks and issues, and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 8+ years in IT Project Management with at least 3 full lifecycle system implementations.

• Mandatory experience in the Insurance domain (GI / Life Insurance).

• Proven experience delivering transformation initiatives involving:

• Core Insurance Systems (AS400)

• Digital platforms, POS systems, portals, and corporate websites

• Data Lake, Analytics, or Big Data initiatives

• Experience managing minimum 5 internal team members (excluding vendors).

• Strong understanding of Bank Negara Malaysia Risk Management in Technology (RMiT) framework.

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) – Mandatory.

• PMP certification is highly preferred.

• Experience managing end-to-end RFP processes is highly desirable.
