Job Summary:
Assembles pipes, cleans water supply, handles tools, and cleans job sites. Assists in smaller jobs and handles smaller jobs on their own.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Duties/Responsibilities:
Locate and identify leaks
Repair or replace pipes and parts
Determine the correct tools and equipment necessary to successfully complete job
Assist with preparing cost estimates for clients
Help Plumber to ensure that all work is in accordance with federal, state, and local plumbing codes
Clean job site after work is completed
Answer client queries
Follows Plumber’s instructions
Regular, prompt, on-site attendance essential for physically installing equipment
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trades.
Willingness to learn on the job, go through training, and earn certification as a Plumber
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in basic math and conversion of measurements.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
At least two years
related experience required.
Valid Driver’s License
Valid Plumber Trainee License
Physical Requirements:
Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting, and carrying.
Work in tiring and uncomfortable positions, around gas lines, around fumes and toxic chemicals, indoors and outdoors
Exposure to extreme temperatures
Must be able to lift
up
to 100 pounds at times.
