Playwright

Talent Worx is seeking a talented Playwright to join our creative team and bring stories to life on stage. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for theater, an inventive imagination, and the ability to craft engaging dialogues that resonate with audiences. You will be responsible for writing original scripts, developing character arcs, and collaborating with directors and actors to ensure your vision is captured in production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create original plays and adaptations that reflect diverse viewpoints and themes.
• Develop character profiles, plot structures, and compelling dialogues.
• Work closely with directors, actors, and producers to refine scripts and include feedback.
• Attend rehearsals to assist with script revisions and stage direction.
• Conduct research on historical, cultural, or thematic topics that inform your writing.
• Submit your plays for competitions, festivals, and potential production opportunities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Theater, Creative Writing, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a playwright or in creative writing.
• Strong portfolio of original plays or produced works.
• Excellent understanding of dramatic structure, character development, and dialogue creation.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to receive constructive feedback.
