At Tandem, you’ll build and evolve the platform that underpins the future of European healthcare. The systems you build will ensure our citizens most sensitive data remains secure while powering the AI transformation of healthcare. Your work will be the foundation for supporting our continued rapid scale-out across the continent!

You’ll be part of a small, highly skilled team that designs, builds, and maintains the infrastructure & core systems our products run on, from Kubernetes clusters and CI/CD pipelines to PHI handling and security. You’ll care deeply about how code moves from commit to production, and you’ll take pride in knowing that the systems you build are robust, observable, and elegant.

What You Will Do

• Design, build, and maintain the cloud infrastructure that powers Tandem’s products.

• Build scalable systems on top of Kubernetes, enabling rapid and reliable product development.

• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth, automated, and secure deployments.

• Implement and manage robust encryption and key management systems to meet healthcare-grade security requirements.

• Ensure observability, monitoring, and alerting are baked into every layer of the stack.

• Continuously improve performance, reliability, and scalability - and validate it through testing and automation.

• Ensure our infra supports high speed of iteration despite a regulated industry.

What You Bring

• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP also welcome).

• Strong experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and modern cloud tooling.

• Hands-on programming experience - you don’t just configure systems, you build them.

• Solid grasp of networking, security, and encryption concepts.

• A passion for building systems that empower developers and make complex things simple.

• High standards for quality, documentation, and correctness.

• A mindset that combines craftsmanship with pragmatism - you get things done right.

• Experience with Terraform, Helm, or infrastructure-as-code.

Bonus Points

• Experience working in regulated industries (healthtech, finance, etc.). Especially with Medical Device Regulation.

• Background in software engineering before specializing in infrastructure.

• Contributions to open-source or platform-related communities.

• A history of building systems that scale - and stay up.
