About the role
We are seeking a Plant Operator with Loader experience, to join our team.
This role will lead a small team providing maintenance for municipal services infrastructure, including landfills, and firebreaks throughout the Kimberley region's Dampier Peninsula and maintenance of sealed roads through the application of cold mix asphalt in a small number of Kimberley communities.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team and contribute to a significant positive impact on the day-to-day lives of the members of communities serviced by KRSP.
Location and roster
This role is seasonal and will be available during the Kimberley dry season until November 2026, with works occurring again in around March 2027.
The roster for this role is 14:7, which may vary due to operational requirements.
Local Kimberley residents are encouraged to apply. FIFO applications will be considered.
What you will need
An ability to demonstrate a high work ethic, integrity and safe work practices together with a positive mindset.
Essential criteria:
Demonstrated experience operating a Loader
Loader ticket
Ability to work in remote areas cohesively as part of a small team
Self-motivated and resourceful individual capable of working independently
Ability to mentor and take lead
Ability to work in remote locations, inclusive of experience with driving on remote unsealed roads
Current HC class driver’s licence and a clean driving history
National Police Clearance
Unrestricted working rights in Australia
Desirable criteria:
Experience working in remote communities
First aid certification
