Job Description
Join our dynamic small team as a Plant Operator at the Papakura Transfer Station, where you'll play a vital role in efficiently operating and managing various heavy equipment, including loaders and excavator. Interact with customers including the general public using our facility.
You will be responsible for handling the placement of waste on-site, ensuring precision and adherence to established procedures. Interact with public and drivers to guarantee strict compliance with health and safety protocols.  Identify and report any machinery potential problems.  General housekeeping. Physically fit.  A can-do attitude with a good work ethic.  Demonstrate that you are reliable and dependable.
We are seeking candidates with the following skills and attributes:
• Valid NZ driving license Class 1 or Class 2.
• WT Licences (wheels/tracks).
• Ability to interact with a vast range of customers in a polite and clear manner
• Proven experience in operating heavy equipment.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of workplace Health and Safety practices.
• Mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Strong work ethics and exceptional time management skills.
