Planning/Scheduling Engineer (Roads O&M)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Planning/Scheduling Engineer to join our Roads Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining project schedules for road maintenance and improvement projects across the region.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using advanced planning and scheduling software
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather and analyze project data
• Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect actual performance
• Identify potential delays or conflicts and propose solutions to keep projects on track
• Prepare and present regular status reports to stakeholders and management
• Assist in resource allocation and optimization across multiple projects
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely completion of road maintenance activities
• Analyze historical data to improve future planning and scheduling processes
• Stay up-to-date with local road regulations and standards in Qatar
• Contribute to the development of long-term maintenance strategies for road infrastructure

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• 5 years of experience in road operations and maintenance planning
• Proficiency in project management and scheduling software, particularly Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
• Strong knowledge of road construction and maintenance processes
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of local road regulations and standards in Qatar is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
