The Planning Manager will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project plans across timelines, resources, and costs. This role requires strong experience in schedule management, forecasting, progress tracking, and coordination with cross‑functional teams to ensure project delivery aligns with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, baselines, and milestones using planning tools.
• Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and propose corrective actions.
• Perform schedule risk analysis, forecasting, and impact assessments.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineering, procurement, and execution teams to gather inputs and validate plans.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare MIS reports, and present insights to leadership.
• Manage resource planning, capacity utilization, and dependency tracking.
• Support budget planning, cost control, and cash‑flow forecasting (where applicable).
• Ensure adherence to planning standards, processes, and governance frameworks.
• Lead planning reviews and support audits, compliance, and reporting requirements.
• Mentor junior planners and drive best practices within the planning function.
Required Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
• 15-18 years of relevant experience in project planning and control.
• Hands‑on experience with planning and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle, scheduling techniques, and performance measurement.
• Experience working in multi‑stakeholder and multi‑project environments.
