Job Description
Purpose: The Planning Engineer enhances the planning function by combining traditional planning with advanced analytics, automation, and data visualization. The role converts raw assembly and manufacturing data into actionable insights through automated workflows, dashboards, and scenario modeling, enabling faster and more accurate decision‑making. By integrating planning processes with real‑time data and digital tools, the Planning Engineer supports smart manufacturing initiatives and strengthens overall planning efficiency and performance.
Key Area of Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with planners, manufacturing teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders to integrate operational data into planning workflows, maintain accurate production plans, and resolve planning bottlenecks.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Prototype analytic products and models such as Power BI to support data‑driven planning decisions.
• Support the development of analytics platforms that integrate data from purchasing, planning, master scheduling, and inventory functions.
• Design and develop automated reporting and workflow processes to reduce manual tracking and deliver fast, accurate insights for operations.
• Build and enable automated data‑transformation pipelines and standardized reporting within analytics platforms.
• Create dashboards, graphs, and planning visualizations in Power BI to support operational reviews, decision‑making, and KPI tracking.
Requirements:
• Degree in Engineering/Supply Chain/Logistic Management
• 1-3 year of experience planning or data analytics in manufacturing industry.
• Excellent project Management Skills, with experience on leading and executing Analytics Product.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, SQL is a plus .
• Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Ability to communicate complex subjects in simple terms is fundamental.
