About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Operations Planner to help support operations planning for our growing business. You will leverage your problem-solving abilities, motivation, and experience to generate sku level forecasts by facility, determine target inventory levels, generate PO proposals that support sales and inventory goals while optimizing cost. We are looking for a self-starter that will drive process improvement by building out and improving processes and tools as the business scales up.

You Will:

Demand Planning

• Work cross functionally with Category Growth and Finance teams to align on the appropriate demand plan for assigned categories, creating a demand plan based on historical trends, planned marketing spend and projected mix

• Demonstrated knowledge of forecasting methodologies and statistical analysis to determine the most accurate forecast fit

• Create buying recommendations for generic finished goods based based on key metrics such as reorder points and safety stock minimums

• Drive accountability through the implementation of key metrics such as forecast accuracy and WOC

• Proficient in demand planning concepts (Market Trends, Seasonality, Inventory Optimization and risks)

Production Planning

• Bring appropriate resources together to build out a weekly production plan and drive alignment across the labs

• Make or recommend revision to planned production when schedules cannot be met

• Manage finished goods inventory for compounded products within company guidance while maintaining click to deliver metrics for customers

• Work cross functionally with Demand Planning to communicate any forecast discrepancies and understand risks and opportunities

• Drive accountability with adherence to production plans

• Articulate and document all risks resulting from production capacity

• Work with R&D to balance production and R&D pilot time requirements

Material/Supply Planning

• Create buying recommendations for raw materials, packaging and/or collateral based on forward-looking usage projections

• Perform a weekly inventory reconciliation to ensure the data reflects accurate inventory numbers

• Work with cross functional partners in Supply Chain and Operations to solve inventory overages and shortages

• Understand and articulate key drivers for changes in usage that result in under/over stock situations

• Mitigate supply risk by carrying appropriate levels of stock

• Track upcoming expirations, new product launches/SKU transitions and work with the site to quarantine and dispose of the product

You Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Merchandising, or other related field

• 3+ years experience in at least 1 of the following: Production planning, Supply planning, Material planning, Demand planning

• Proficient in inventory management concepts with an understanding of the financial and operational implications of planning decisions

• Excel proficiency including experience with data manipulations – Lookups, PivotTables, External Data Connections

• Basic SQL and/or Python experience is a plus

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner

• Ability to think through complex problems and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities

• Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized

• Demonstrated ability to organize resources and analyze alternatives to make effective decisions
