CAD Industries ferroviaires est une société québécoise ambitieuse, en activités depuis plus de 60 ans, spécialisée dans la réparation, la conversion et le reconditionnement d’équipements ferroviaires roulant (wagons et locomotives en tous genres) qui avons des ateliers et bureaux à Montréal (secteur Lachine) et en Alberta (sous la bannière Caltrax).

Au fil des ans, notre mission s’est précisée afin de devenir une entreprise responsable qui cherche notamment à réparer et prolonger la vie des équipements dont nos clients nous confient les travaux ou encore, dans plusieurs situations, de les moderniser et leur donner littéralement une 2ème vie.

Dans leurs projets, nos équipes voient donc à designer des équipements qui répondront aux besoins de ces mêmes clients qui œuvrent autant du coté marchandise que passagers.

Résumé du poste:

Relevant du Directeur des opérations, le planificateur ou la planificatrice de production est responsable de la planification et de l’allocation des ressources dans l’atelier afin d’atteindre les objectifs de production, principalement en ce qui concerne nos wagons de fret ferroviaire, et ce, conformément à nos engagements envers nos clients.

Principales responsabilités:

Créer, maintenir et communiquer le calendrier maître de production;

Surveiller la performance quotidienne afin de s’assurer que les objectifs de production sont atteints;

Identifier de manière proactive les contraintes de planification et anticiper les retards potentiels, en assurant une communication rapide avec les départements concernés;

Utiliser et améliorer continuellement les programmes de suivi afin d’atteindre les objectifs d’affaires;

Présider les réunions de production en fournissant des informations exactes et à jour pour soutenir la planification et la prise de décision;

Gérer la disposition des connaissements des wagons complétés dans les systèmes externes;

Préparer et distribuer les rapports quotidiens destinés aux parties prenantes internes et externes;

Effectuer toute autre tâche requise pour soutenir les opérations.

 

Qualifications requises:

Minimum de cinq (5) années d’expérience dans un environnement de fabrication industrielle au sein d’une installation de production multi-départements;

Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office (Word, Project, Access), avec des compétences avancées en Excel;

Solide capacité à manipuler, analyser et synthétiser les données; habileté dans la production de rapports et l’interprétation des indicateurs de production et de capacité;

Excellentes aptitudes en gestion du temps, en organisation et en résolution de problèmes;

Capacité à travailler de manière autonome avec une approche proactive pour identifier et résoudre les problèmes;

Diplôme d’études postsecondaires dans un domaine connexe d’un établissement reconnu (atout important);

Expérience dans un atelier de réparation de véhicules (atout important);

Connaissance des programmes MYCPR, CN et Railcar RX (atout).

We specialize in the repair, conversion, and refurbishment of rolling railway equipment (various types of wagons and locomotives) with workshops and offices in Montreal (Lachine area) and Alberta (under the Caltrax banner).

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Production Planner is responsible for scheduling and allocating resources in the shop to meet production targets, mainly concerning our Rail Freight Cars, in accordance with our commitment toward our clients.

Main Responsibilities:

Create, maintain, and communicate the master production schedule;

Monitor daily performance to ensure production targets are met;

Proactively identify scheduling constraints and anticipate potential delays, ensuring early communication with relevant departments;

Utilize and continuously improve tracking programs to meet business objectives;

Chair production meetings, providing accurate and timely scheduling information to support planning and decision-making;

Manage waybill disposition of completed cars within external systems;

Prepare and distribute daily reports for both internal and external stakeholders;

Perform additional tasks as required to support operations.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing environment within a multi-department production facility;

Proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Project, Access), with advanced skills in Excel;

Strong ability to manipulate, analyze, and summarize data; skilled in reporting and interpreting production and capacity metrics;

Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills;

Ability to work independently with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

Completion of a related diploma program from a recognized post-secondary institution (strong asset);

Experience in a vehicle repair facility (strong asset);

Familiarity with MYCPR, CN, and Railcar RX program (asset).
