Our Continental tyre plant in Petaling Jaya (PJ), Malaysia, is a manufacturer of diverse products catering to the needs of its customers. We manufacture Commercial Specialty Tires and are the only production site for OTR X-Ply Tires at Continental. The plant opened its doors in the year 1963 as Dunlop Malaysia and has undergone many phases of changes before being finally being taken over by Continental in the year 2012. • To lead and manage mold modifications, mold repair, mold transfer and mold maintenance.
• To handle mold documentation and improvement activities, thereby improving the mold reliability and reducing the R&M cost.  
• To liaise with central mold department regarding issues/updates on current mold technology.
• To ensure mold / tooling maintenance is done according to schedule.
• To ensure mold setup/size change and realization according to schedule.
• To ensure all mold modifications are done according to the requirements and following legal requirement by central in the SAP system.
• To organize team for mold change, mold cleaning, mold preparation & mold maintenance. 
• To lead on mold parts cleaning, inspection and parts replacement and support breakdown related to molds.
• To do a report on post-maintenance activity. 
• To verify the condition of mold / tooling on machine and after post-maintenance activity.
• To update work instruction and procedures related to molds and maintain in PoMS.
• To give appropriate training to relevant personnel related to mold / tooling maintenance and use of documentations as instructed.
• To liaise with supplier & contractor regarding fabrication works, measurement, adaptation of parts, service and repair work.
• To attend bi-monthly mold engineers' online meeting for discussions related to molds.
• Support Environmental, Safety and Health task to ensure activities are complied to OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 standards as per details in the safety and environment management system and procedure.
• Ensure data keep and monitoring of Expenditure Costs incurred by Mold and Tooling Department.
• To organize manpower and give out clear instruction for maintenance, handling breakdown and leave coverage, where applicable.
• To attend and rectify all quality issue related with mold.
• To ensure and maintain high performance level to produce quality product.
• Ensure machines parts - Repairs or change according to Processes deviation / requirement, Quality Specification and Control.
• To ensure the spare & physical unit related to tooling equipment in plant are available.
• Supporting and assisting 4-4-1 team when and as required by management.

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering Field (preferably Mechanical) with minimum 1 year of experience or

 Diploma in Engineering Field (preferably Mechanical) with minimum 3 years of experience or
• Minimum 2 Years Experience in Tooling Maintenance or Preventive Maintenance /  mold related.
• Must have hands-on experience in plant preferably maintenance of mechanical parts

Good Communication and able to communicate with blue collar.

English knowledge (written and speak)

Knowledge in MS Office

Knowledge of SAP is advantage

Problem Solving Skills

Independent with less supervision
