Location: Job Site located across the Greater Vancouver Area.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Ability to understand blueprints, specifications, and drawings
Set pipe laser and maintain and check elevations
Installing civil utility components such as sanitary/storm sewers, water mains, culverts, catch basins, manholes etc.)
Work in confined spaces to setup sewer lasers, sewer bypasses, benching and parging manholes
Able to work at all depths and understand all types of excavations such as open cut and shoring (trench boxes, aluminum shields, speed shoring, slide rails etc.)
Work with heavy equipment operators
Spotting of existing utilities via hand exposure during excavation and prior
Maintain strong communication with the operator for the purpose of hand signals when approaching deep excavations, grading for pipe install and uncovering existing utilities
Must be able to train other pipelayer helpers
Must be able to work with various pipe sizes and material types
Requirements:
Must be able to read blueprints
1 year previous experience as a pipelayer, water, sanitary storm systems
Basic understanding of grades (elevation and slopes)
Understanding of existing soil types
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
If not already, Pipelayers will be required to become members of IUOE Local 115

Hourly Rate is as per the Union Agreement.
