Vortex Services is seeking to fill a position for a Pipelayer/Laborer.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Grading and leveling trench bases to place pipe in

Laying, aligning, and positioning sections of pipe

Making connections to lines including sewer lines, water lines, and storm sewers

Checking slopes for confirmation to requirements

Digging and setting pipe by hand

Skills required:

Determine grade of trenching using tools including lasers and transit levels

Operate cutting equipment to cut various types of piping materials

Operate small powered equipment including tampers

Cut, fit, and seal various types of piping

Qualifications:

Experience as a Pipe Layer

Valid driver license required

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift and move 50 lbs.

Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, background screening consistent with company standards

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday but can include shift work, weekends, evenings, holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.
