Project Summary:
Our current project, Home at Happy Valley, is a 226 Unit Multi-family community with 5 apartment buildings and a clubhouse.
Project Location: Happy Valley Road/17th Avenue Phoenix, AZ 85085
Job Summary:
The Pipelayer is responsible for performing various tasks to aid in the daily operations of the civil underground work on the construction site.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Installation and layout of underground water, sewer and storm pipes/conduit, under the Foreman’s direction.
Preparation of work area for excavation of trenching.
Dig trenches to desired or required depths, by hand or using trenching tools.
Load and unload materials, machinery, and tools.
Use and operate small power and hand tools.
General clean up and removal of debris.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
2+ year of experience working in the construction field - pipelayer
Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check
Ability to work in hot weather conditions.
Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
Physical Requirements:
Ability to handle physical labor and strenuous tasks.
Able to stand and walk project site for extended period of times.
Regularly talk and/or hear.
Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
Occasionally required to but not limited to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
Must be able to position one-self to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics and tunnels.
Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move at least 50 pounds regularly/occasionally
Must be able to respond quickly to sounds.
Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
Must be able to see and respond to dangerous situations.
Must be able to safely climb ladders while carrying up to 40 pounds.
Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.
Must be able to work in hot and cold environments.
