The Opportunity

We are expanding our Virginia team and seeking a driven, relationship-focused Physician Liaison based in the Richmond, VA area. This is a high-visibility, field-based role responsible for building and nurturing referral relationships with pediatricians, developmental pediatricians, child psychiatrists, neurologists, and other key referral sources across a defined territory spanning Northern Virginia, the Greater Richmond area, and the Hampton Roads/Virginia Beach region.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to generate consistent, quality referrals from physician offices, hospitals, and healthcare systems across your assigned geography

• Build long-term, trust-based relationships with referring providers and their office staff through regular in-person visits, lunch-and-learns, and educational outreach

• Serve as a knowledgeable ambassador for Above & Beyond's clinical model, intake process, and therapy outcomes - translating complex information into clear, compelling conversations

• Partner closely with clinic leadership and intake teams to ensure a seamless referral-to-enrollment experience for families

• Track all activity, pipeline, and referral data consistently in CRM tools; report on territory performance against defined KPIs

• Identify and pursue new referral opportunities through community events, professional associations, and provider networking

• Collaborate with the Virginia clinical team to align outreach strategy with capacity and growth goals

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 2+ years of outside sales or business development experience, with a track record of calling on physician offices or healthcare providers in a field-based role

• Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding referral, revenue, or growth targets

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills - you're confident, credible, and consultative in every room

• Self-starter with the ability to manage a large geographic territory independently and strategically

• Proficiency with CRM tools and consistent documentation habits

• Willingness to travel throughout Northern Virginia, Richmond, and the Virginia Beach/Hampton Roads corridor

Preferred (Bonus Points):

• Experience in ABA therapy, pediatric behavioral health, or developmental services

• Existing relationships within the pediatric provider community in Virginia

• Familiarity with the autism diagnosis and referral pathway

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

• Incentive Compensation: Performance-based incentives up to $12,000 annually (paid quarterly) available after 90 days, tied to defined KPIs

• Mileage reimbursement and travel support
