We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join a collaborative outpatient healthcare team in Monroe, North Carolina. This full-time onsite position focuses on delivering high-quality medical care in a fast-paced clinic environment while supporting positive patient outcomes through evidence-based practice and education.
The Physician Assistant will assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of medical conditions while working under physician supervision. The role includes interpreting diagnostic results, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and providing preventive care guidance. Key Responsibilities
• Perform patient evaluations including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and clinical assessments
• Diagnose and manage acute illnesses as well as chronic medical conditions
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on diagnostic findings and evidence-based guidelines
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory work and imaging studies
• Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with North Carolina practice regulations
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient care delivery
• Provide patient education related to preventive healthcare, medication adherence, and chronic disease management
• Document patient encounters accurately within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
• Support patient care across routine outpatient visits and urgent care cases
Requirements:
• Active and unrestricted North Carolina Physician Assistant license or eligibility for licensure
• NCCPA certification (PA-C) required
• Experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Urgent Care strongly preferred
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient healthcare environment
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work within a multidisciplinary care team
